BOEHM, Mary Alice age 85 of Hamilton passed away
at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 9:30 AM. She was
born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 19, 1923 the daughter of Ernest and
Jessie (Weaver) Evans. Mary Alice attended Lincoln Memorial University and later
earned her Master's Degree in secondary education from Miami University. One of
her greatest joys was teaching at Wilson Junior High School, and many of her
former students still remember the things she taught them. She was a member of
Queen of Peace Catholic Church, founded the Millville Homemakers Club in 1964
(which is still active monthly), and was a member of the Red Hat Society. On
August 2, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio she married Don J. Boehm. She is survived by
her husband, Don J. Boehm of Hamilton; a son, Gary Boehm of Hamilton; two
daughters, Betsy (Roger) Coss of Cleveland Heights, Ohio and Margie Brune of
Hamilton; four grandsons, Troy Blum, Jay (Helen) Blum, Todd Blum, Eric Brune;
two granddaughters, Mirinda May Boehm, and Stephanie; and two
great-grandchildren, Jessica and Ebin. Family and friends are invited to attend
a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville
Avenue, on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Jeff Bacon,
Celebrant. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at
the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to Mercy Franciscan at Schroder,
Alzheimer's Association, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
