NIEDFELDT, Roderick J. "Rod" Age 77, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his home. He was born April 11, 1930 in West Salem, Wisconsin, the son of John W. and Emma (Ziegler) Niedfeldt. He received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a Masters Degree in Education Administration from Miami University. He married Betty Jackson on September 12, 1955 in Niagara Falls, New York. He began his career in the life insurance industry while still a student in college. After graduation he was employed as a manager for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Wisconsin and in Butler County from 1950 to 1964. In 1964 he began his teaching career with the Hamilton City Schools. He taught at Taylor, Wilson and Van Buren schools until 1978. While a teacher, he began buying real estate in Hamilton and Camden and eventually became a real estate agent for John Howell Realty and West Shell Realtors. He spent his last 37 years as owner/manager of his various properties. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, a member of REIA Investors Group, Cincinnati, the IPOA of Hamilton, a member of Pi Kappa Alpha, University of Wisconsin Chapter and a former member of the Hamilton Jaycees. He was a former baseball coach with the Millville Little League and the Hamilton Babe Ruth League. He was involved in singing with two music ministries. Rod was an avid Bengals fan. He leaves his beloved wife, Betty; he was a wonderful caring father to his children, Susan Cummings and husband, John of Maderia, Kathryn O'Connell and husband, James of Fairfield, Nancy Lofland and husband, Rodney of North College Hill and John R. Niedfeldt of Oxford; and he leaves five grandchildren, Michael and Christopher O'Connell and Alex, Evan and Eric Cummings. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beverly Kriesche. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 1200 Main Street with Dr. Robert Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, December 18 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W.
